Due to Governor Prtizker's Executive Order, Safe Haven is currently closed to the public to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
UPDATE: Our trained volunteers can begin volunteering again at this time. Please use Calendar Wiz to schedule your volunteer times. If you have questions on our current procedures, please contact the shelter at (815)858-2265.
Rest assured that we will continue to provide quality care and love to our animals. Thanks for understanding. Stay safe and healthy.

We believe that together we can make a difference in the lives of adoptable stray, unwanted, abused companion animals and the people who open their hearts and homes to them.
