Safe Haven Humane Society
Re-Home the Homeless Pets of Jo Daviess County and the Tri-State Area
Safe Haven is a county wide Humane Society supported entirely by community donations and dedicated volunteers. We place no time limit on the length of stay once a cat or dog has been accepted into our adoption program.
We believe that together we can make a difference in the lives of adoptable stray, unwanted, abused companion animals and the people who open their hearts and homes to them.
Rosco is a good ol' boy. We are not sure of his age. His teeth look like he is a youngster, his body says something else. He is a lovable bear of a Chocolate Lab that really needs a stay at home loving companion. Rosco has been at the shelter since April 24. Even though we have a great shelter, that is a long time to spend with us. Rosco was adopted once but returned because he had separation anxiety. This is not abnormal for shelter dogs. They have been left before and that is why they are here. If you have room in your home and heart for Rosco, please stop by the shelter to meet him. He is a big lovable bear. Likes toys and being outside, and of course love, which he returns to you triple fold.
